What was the ref thinking in the Maccarinelli fight?
After the first knock down he was out of it. I really dont know if it was good that his head landed on the rope after the first knock down or what. Because he got up.

But surely the ref has got to look at his eye's and his body and say he is no fit state to carry on
He was all over the place, coulda died or brain damaged in there.

    He isn't fit to ref.

Hope he doesn't get another fight.

The fight should have been stopped after the first knock down.

Was he in a worse state when he stood up than the Haye fight? Haven't watched it yet but I do wanna see his (hopefully) last fight. His chins gonners.

Did you watch the entire card? There was 3 HORRIBLE stoppages earlier that favored the Frank Warren fighter
          1) 1st stoppage in first fight where frank warrens fighter landed like 1/15 punches at end of round and ref stopped fight with like 1 sec left, the dude wasnt even hurt and it was some silly body shot, HORRIBLE STOPPAGE
          2) Ref didnt let the German dude come out even tho it was at beggining of round and the fighter wanted to fight and WASNT HURT
          3) In the other fight there was a small cut and as soon as it was landed ref paused fight and brought fighter to doctor and didnt ask for docs opinion but the REF told the DR hes stopping it, there was no blood gushing and didnt let them clean the cut. (Ref looking any reason to stop fight)

3 Horrible Stoppages that ALL favored Frank Warren so what happens in the Enzo fight? The UK guy was given benefit of the doubt AGAIN.

I laugh at the UK media crying about the ref and everything but Enzo was on his feet and was ready to go and if he stopped fight early the UK crowd wouldve killed the REF saying he wasnt hurt, etc.

Now they are crying they let it go too far, well its because of Frank Warren, I dont see the UK media crying about the other 3 fighters getting robbed of fighting even when they wanted to fight.

            1st stopage was terrible.
2nd one was a strange one. Not sure what went on there (but he was already beaten, there was no way he was winning that fight)
3rd stoppage the corner waved it of straight away when Jennings went to the corner for the cut to be looked at.

Enzo was ****ed when he stood up, his eyes were all over the place. Ref def should've stopped it no doubt about it (even if he didnt know about Enzos chin before hand)
The crowd wouldnt have went nuts, the entire crowd knows what Enzo is like.

And yes, Warren is a ****, but fair play to him for putting on that card. Best line-up in a domestic card i've seen even with the high profile pullouts.

SHOCKING decision to let enzo carry on after first knock down was life threatening, he didnt look stable at all. the second knock down was brutal really thought enzo was seriously hurt, glad he recovered after 5 mins of oxygen.. think its time enzo joined his gym buddy calzaghe and both sit back n watch up comng fighters.

The problem here is not the decision by the ref, it is the fighter.

Enzo has never had natural boxer's instincts. It was clear on display here. When he tired, his hands dropped, his chin jutted out, and he stood up tall and made to measure for a hayemaker hook. When hurt and dazed, he made no effort to tie up, and just stood there for another big shot.

Another boxer with better instincts, down as heavily as that, may have been able to recover using better survival tricks and go on to win a points decision. In that case, people would have hailed the decision to let the fight go on. Enzo was winning the fight, the ref gave him a chance, and Enzo showed just why he is so vulnerable.
