A bit of indication of how HUGE PAC is in the Philippines:
When he faced Marquez, the Philippine National Police reported a total, yes, Total Absence of Crime in the two hours or so that everyone was glued to the TV sets throughout the country! No Felony, no misdemeanor...not even a traffic violation!
The country just seemed to PAUSE!!!
Perhaps, even the notorious Abu Sayaff took time out from pilaging!
dont know who abu sayaff is, can u tell me a lil more about him?
about the whole country pausing , thats just crazy, it must feel good to have a whole country behind you supporting you

Abu Sayaff used to be a group of rebels seeking independence for their part of the Philippine islands. After their founder died, they appeared to have lost their moorings, and became no more than bandits; raping women, torching towns and abducting tourists (for ransom)! The most celebrated case that I can recall was the one about two or three years ago in a beach resort in Palawan. They beheaded one of their American captives while another was killed by a gun; if memory serves.
Lately, it has been reported that they have become Al Quaeda's arm in the Philippines and is said to have direct contacts with the top brass of that terror net, including Bin Ladin himself.
As for feeling good for being backed up by an entire nation, I'm afraid it can also work the other way: it can be a ton on Manny's shoulders!

yeah your right its both a source of strength and much burden, but that's the very reason why PAC fight the way he fights, he now do not fight just for himself and his family but he fights for country and countrymen...
This is another reason why Pacman is very popular in the Philippines...

‘PacMan’ the philantrophist
By Frank Calapre, Correspondent
FILIPINO fans all knew that Manny Pacquiao had a big fighting heart—now they know that he has a generous and caring one, too.
At a press briefing on Thursday at the Discovery Suites in Pasig City, Pacquiao announced that he would donate P200,000 of his P17-million purse to the victims of the two typhoons that struck Quezon Province last week.
“It’s really from my heart. It might be just a little amount but it comes from my heart,” he said at the conference to drum up interest for his scheduled 12-round nontitle fight against Thai pretender Fahsan 3K Battery on Sunday at the Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
