I would put Joe Calzaghe at #1. He is really good, and he looks way better than Ricky.

Lewis never had a win as good as Hatton's over Tszyu.

sorry sicknotes career has beena joke of late.
yeah a win in germany over a man he already ko'd in one and is european level.
the win over zoo is far more impressive than anyhting calzaghe has done since he beat a shopworn Eubank.
think we may have to agree to disagree here buddy.
Eubank, Brewer, Sheika, Reid, Woodhall, Mitchell.. Calzaghe beat them all! Joe certainly has the best resume and totally demolished his last opponent just a couple of months ago, and his opponent was top 10 in his division.
When Ricky defends his belt a few times against decent oppositon then maybe I'll chuck him in ahead of Calzaghe, because Ricky does have a really good resume of his own as it is (Phillips, Tackie, Oliveira, Tszyu).Last edited by JUYJUY; 07-15-2005, 04:44 AM.

yes, i do know my stuff mate, but all the guys you quote as JC's great wins are nearly 3 years or more ago. (mitchell was his best oppoenent apart form that in this period of fighting stiffs in world level terms.
He simply has done **** all of late so if i were doibng a list at present then Hatton would be top of the tree over calzage.
The very same reason you bemoan hattons quality of oppoenent is what has ahppened to Joe in the last few years. Just in reverse.
Veit is no better than Tackie, Mgrcian no better than oliveira,
and saleem aint even top 40 and dropped JC so if you are talking about NOW, NO Joe isnt p4p Britain number one Hatton is.
Should Joe beat lacy later in the year that would change but P4P lists arent just done on achievement there are more factors involved here, form, grade of opponent, style and skill.
Well sorry if you dont like it but hatton at present is the man on top of his game, calzaghe worryingly is showing signs of slowing at 32 and i for one have totally lost interest in his career over the past two years..

[QUOTE=martinwbc]What order do you think the top 10 British P4P list should be?
1. Ricky Hatton - (IBF World)
2. Joe Calzaghe - (WBO World)
3. Scott Harrison - (WBO World)
4. Junior Witter - (Brit/Comm/Euro)
5. Nicky Cook - (Brit/Comm/Euro)
6. Clinton Woods - (IBF World)
7. Howard Eastman - (Brit/Comm/Euro)
8. Johnny Nelson - (WBO World)
9. Robin Reid - (IBO World)
10. Esham Pickering - (Brit/Comm/Euro)
I would take out Johnny Nelson and Junior Witter who do not back up their words with devasting ring performance, Witter was exposed last time and Nelson sorry I cannot forgive him for his fight with Carlos De Leon, put in their the Warrior Carl Thompson
