I heard that frank Frank Maloney has been hounding the WBC super-featherweight king's Golden Boy promotions team with a barrage of telephone calls to get Barrera to fight his fighter, Scott Harisson.

Maloney believes that the Mexican superstar is running scared of his man, which is why he is exploring the idea of resorting to a 'Plan B' and using unconventional tactics.

He has already spoken to Harrison's trainer and father Peter about using insults to provoke Barrera, and now he is waiting for the green light from the fighter to put it into action.

"We know Barrera is looking for an opponent on May 5,"' explained Maloney. "I have spoken to Peter about a way of trying to embarrass Barrera into the fight because I know he is a very macho man and does not take too kindly to being upstaged or insulted."
