I agree with the first part of your statement, the man has no concept of defence whatsoever. That being said, I give him a good chance against Khan at lightweight, I believe John would be able to weather an early storm from Amir and then do some serious damage on the inside, and all he needs to do is tag Khan once... Murray's chin is solid. It's going to carry him a long way... maybe not to a world title, but he'll definitely be a contender in the years to come.

I like the potential of Degale, Saunders and Gavin. Brooks and Cleverly in my opinion have risen above prospect status and could be considered contenders.

Fury(not my pick) gets a bad rap, but I still like him. He took a huge jump in class and though he was lucky to get the decision, stayed in there. When he signed to fight McDermott, I was sure he was going to have his butt handed to him. Well he almost did, but he showed me a hell of alot for a 8-0 heavyweight!

              Anderson isn't great either.

Groves and DeGale would rip him a new one.

Brooks and Cleverly could win titles. And Fury really is a prat if he turned down the chance to train with Stewart makes it look like he doesnt want to put in the effort.

To me, Kell Brook is the stand-out name from that list right now. He just has so much natural ability, so much confidence and looks completely above the level he's fighting at at the minute. I wish the Jennings fight would have gone ahead, could have been a great fight - one I fully expected Brook to come through as well.

I'm a big Cleverly fan as well - he'll go far and improves every fight, his power is developing as well.

It's too early to judge the Olympians, you can only say that they're all progressing as you'd hope they would at this stage - and I include Tony Jeffries in that. Groves looks a very good prospect.

Basically, it's got the potential to be a very good generation for British Boxing.

kell brook has a good look about him - he seems confident, patient and at home in the ring. he hs very good power, puts together good combinations and has very good timing. id like to see the brook vs jennings fight back on soon.

cleverly is another very good fighter and one that has excelled since leaving the calzaghe gym, his power is improving and with it he has been able to incorporate good, solid body shots. his punches are accurate, well timed and lately hurtful.

imo these 2 fighters are the ones who stick out, maybe its because they have slowly developed their games and now stand as legitimate domestic competition that could go further. as for the others gavin and billy joe are well suited to the pro ranks but all the lads listed above are very talented.
