  • This is what I hate about the SKY Broadcast

DOnt you guys hate it when they only focus on the British fighter after the win.Surely it would be good to hear both sides of the story after a fight and hear what the opponent thinks about his foe. What's the use of rushing us back to boring Jonny Nelson who always gets it wrong anywhere?

Whenever I watch an American broadcast, they give both guys an opportunity to hear what both fighters have to say.

i live in Britain but never watch the SKY coverage of big fights because it is crap... who the F**K is Nicky Piper or any of the others on that panel.. when did any of them fight in Germany, Las Vegas or Madison Square Gardens.. but most of all i dislike the commentary team Darke & Watt, they know nothing about commentary.. i subscribe to a live`stream site and watch HBO coverage with Jim Lampley & Manny Stewart which is top class.

Sadly I think that's just British boxing altogether really. They do it with Khan, they do it to Thaxton and now currently doing in to Haye. I don't know how they find the commentators cause their biasedness and 'reading from a sheet' style of commentating sucks. Like the previous poster said, i'll take HBO commentating for boxing instead thanks.

It is pretty biased, though I would say it's the same for every other sport on Sky - the football commentary is biased towards English teams, the tennis commentary is biased towards Andy Murray, etc. They're certainly not masters of objectivity. It would have been good to hear what Valuev thought after the fight.

          It's not bad.

Johnny Nelson got a bit arsey with people suggesting it was a real mountain to climb beating Valuev though. He got real stern sometimes and went, don't go making out Haye's an idiot cos he's not. Don't make out he can't do this cos he can. The bigger the guy the easier for Haye.

I was like, christ, ok, your opinion Johnny, stop thrusting down folks throats, well un professional.

That sweaty sock Jim Watt is the worst commentator I've ever heard. The constant bilge he comes out with is ludicrous. If I ever met him I'd shake his hand, give him a slap across that jock face of his, and tell him for a fact that I could commentate a match better than him or his arsey mate Ian Darke.

What I don't like about SKY is they show one whole bout and then they spend ten minutes hyping next weeks show and another ten minutes hyping a show later in the month. Then they show rounds 2 & 3 of an undercard bout and rounds 3, 5 7 & 8 of another. When if the cut down on their own adverts they coyld show us two more whole bouts.

Bit over the top. Darke and Watt are actually quite likeable in my opinion, they just lack a bit when it comes to knowledge. I think the real problem with bias tends to come from the studio guests as opposed to the commentators themselves.

you seem to be a bit upset by it, but after every fight it seems you are glued to the program, what is it you want from the company, can they do anything to make you a little more happy, are you going to continue to be glued to the program or are you going to be buying elsewhere
