Thanks V.M. Great fight and all credit to both fighters.

Jim Watt needs to give it up. At times I thought he was talking about a completely different fight. It was obvious from the first minute what tactics Rhodes was employing. And they were the right ones. If Ryan had fought the way Watt wanted him to he'd have been sparked out before the third.

At the opening of the sixth Watt says something like "And Rhodes looks a completely different fighter". No he didn't. He was doing not much more than what he was in the first. The only difference was he was having more success.

For years Rhodes was a gifted but flawed fighter - with a number of those flaws picked up from Ingle. Since he left he seems to have added a bit of common sense to his fighting and a lot of maturity. He is now a better fighter than he ever was and with a bit of luck he might well go on to realise the potential that we've all seen in him.

As for Moore - no one can question his courage and effort, but he just lacks that extra bit of class to make it at the highest levels. I don't think he will (or should) retire, but I'm not sure where he goes from here.

Early doors I thought Moore was going to be too much, but as the fight went on Rhodes grew stronger, and a great right cross to knock Moore down the 1st time.

Still don't understand why Moore didn't hold on to survive the round, even Hatton was screaming at him.

Rumours of Moore struggling to make weight may have been a problem, either way it was a fantastic fight and good sportsmanship by both fighters at the end.
