I was hoping some people would be interested in this short documentary I've made about heavyweight boxer, David Price. I filmed and interviewed David in the run up to his last two fights (against Dave Allen and Derek Chisora) and this is what we've produced.

Our approach was to match the reality of being in a boxing ring through visuals – erratic movement, objects shifting in and out of focus with an emphasis on small margins. Audio from interviews with David and his trainer, Joe McNally, accompany the visuals – both breaking down the realities of what it is to be a boxer. It’s a sport that can be portrayed as glossy at times, but it’s not all knock-out reels – it’s simply a job for many. A punishing job, physically and mentally. Hopefully we've captured the essence of this side of boxing with this short.

Good stuff mate. I first met Pricey years ago and when he was the main man in the Solly. I remember hearing about him jabbing David Haye’s head off when he was an amateur and Haye was European Champion at Cruiserweight. Also beat a teenage Tyson Fury as an amateur which is well publicised. Unfortunately he never really transferred his amateur success to the pros but still had a solid career.

Yeah, I have no idea how Bermane didn't get any props for stopping Pricey in the Ams lol. Price was your next best thing IIRC.

And Pricey is probably my favorite UK Heavyweight outside of Fury. Just can't not root for that giant suit wearing stud.

What tournament was that in? I know it couldn’t have been the commonwealth’s was it the Worlds or something like that? I remember Glazkov stopped him as well if I remember rightly.

Was the 2004 Tammer Tournament, Stiverne outpointed Helenius and stopped Price to win gold for Canada.
