British boxing is doomed, and i have a feeling Sky won't have regular friday night cards soon too..

I think the Beeb should do something about this seeing that boxing is popular in the UK and tghe general public fund them. However, they need to show the big fights live and not the next day like they use to do when they had it! They had live rights to Barrera V Pacman 1 and showed it the following night at 1am and showed Vargas V Oscar at 3pm on Sunday but missed out 2 rounds! They just skipped them. Looks like British boxing fans are ****ed, but Amir Khan non-boxing fans are OK as they can see his KO defeats on Youtube ten minutes later (1 round fights don't take long to upload).

As long as Hatton can get 20000+ to cross the pond to watch 1 of his fights, sell 60000+ tickets in his hometown, and more than a million houseolds pay the ppv fee to watch his fight at 4 or 5 o clock in the morning; Haye can drum up enough interest to get 60k to attend a fight on someone elses soil, Khan can sell 20k tickets, and Olympic hopefuls get as much coverage and support boxing will be going nowhere.

                Somebody will pick it up.

i think the beeb will be a bit skeptical in picking up the boxing again.Remember ol' Audley put them off it back when they used to broadcast fights.

That sucks for you guys. Over here in the US, Golden Boy Promotions has really been working overtime. They got a new monthly show on cable and are working on a deal to get monthly shows on terrestrial television.

Hopefully some other network picks up the slack.
