  • Last nights fights

All the Olympians impressed but hey thats what they are supposed to do!
Frankie looked more clinical than before, Billy Joe was an animal again - love that right hook! And De Gale clearly stung by the critizisim last time out came with a different attitude and fought great, last time he was booed for his poor performance so he brought the heat this time and looked good yet still he was booed, really unfair IMO

But even tho i thought the Booing was unfair the crowd were AMAZING! The Irish know how to get the atmosphere going! The Germans could learn a thing or two from them!

GUTTED for Rogan tho, badly wanted the fairytale to continue and it NEARLY did, what drama! That would have bumped Martin up into my top 5 favourite fighters if he had stopped Sexton in that last ditch rally! Exciteing stuff

Sexton didnt seem to keen but i think public demand and the fact that Warren knows Rogan can make more money will make it happen

I watched Gavin and DeGale on youtube.

I think they both look good, but they will both probably have to do it the hard way, the aren't really ****ers.

Gavin had a horrible opponent who was just running laps of that ring, he deserved to be stopped just for being such a *****. I never get that, seriously what is the point? Gavin done great to even get the man to throw some shots and create some openings. Not once did that dude plant his feet and throw a shot. I know Journeymen do a job but I think they need to offer more than that, at least show a bit of ambition, every now and then try your luck. The type of journeyman that just tuck up and run, I can't stand. It's the boxing equivalent of a team putting eleven men behind the ball and wasting time. I respect guys like that for stepping into the ring and putting there health on the line but their pure unwillingness to engage makes me think they should do something else.

The guy who fought DeGale was well game, that is why he got smashed up. He wasn't the greatest but at least he came with some kind of intensity. He was just outclassed thoroughly. I thought DeGale looked pretty good, he didn't get hit at all from what I saw, and he was sharp and accurate. The concern with him is the punching power despite the stoppage. He is sharp and accurate but I doubt he has that kind of equalizer that will help him turn around a close fight. I was impressed though, I hope he does well.

              I think so.

I like George Groves too. I still think all the English guys could potentially fight for world titles though, so it's all good for British boxing to have a bit of strenghth in depth.

These guys coming through should put pressure on the generation of fighters above them to push on and try there luck, guys like Jamie Moore and Matthew Macklin, Matthew Hall and all those guys.

Yeah i quite like the look of Groves, him vs De Gale will be a great match down the line if they keep winning!
Im waiting on Hall exploding into the big time, that kid can ****!, imagine him vs Kirkland

Moore is so ready the man is chomping at the bit! I like his chances against pretty much ll the top guys in his division but Macklin wont go much further i dont think

I bet it was! I watched it with the missus and we were up off our seats screaming at the TV - that dont happen with many British Heavyweights

Am I the only one who thinks he is Cotto-ish, I can't really think of why he reminds me of Cotto, he just does.

I think it's the way he stalks opponents with intent. I think Jamie needs to get in amongst it. He belongs at world-level imo He is winning very easily at the moment.
