I doubt Froch has written this himself.

If he thinks Calzaghe's win over Hopkins was a Joke then I will lose alot of respect for him.

The mod on Cobraboxing forwarded me it. I think it was put together for all his forum members.

Its real the guy that sent me it told me 2wks ago the fight might not be shown and he was right.

Hello Cobra fans bad news. My fight against Jermain Taylor will not be shown live in the uk. Many things have been said that are not true i will clear them up now. I am the WBC champion its not no micky mouse WBO title its the lineal title. By being the WBC champion i believe it is my right to be compensated as such. I have brought big time boxing back to itv by fighting world-class operators prime-time. We offered itv a deal where they would show the Taylor fight but they turned it down wanted options and refused to meet my fee. When Mick told me Setanta were interested i reluctantly agreed so you my fans could see me beat Taylor live. I didnt want to deal with Setanta due to the poor fights they put on regarding Joe Calzaghe, real fans know beating Hopkins and Jones was a joke. again Setanta refused to compensate me in a way that pleased me and Mick. All i wanted was parity with what Calzaghe earned against Roy Jones (a washed up Jones) i am fighting a prime top 10 bonafide champion. I have tried to secure the fight but have been unable. Sky showed an intrest but unless it was on Boxoffice i didnt want to know. Sky said it cannot do nothing until after the Hatton fight.

But all is not lost as we have done an exclusive deal with BBCSport to have the fight broadcast on Radio 5-live.

        Regards, the cobra.
LOL. Regards the Cobra. How ****** does that sound.

Fully expect Setanta to pick this up ... probably less than a week before the fight.

You must be some kind of mini member then.

"According to a friend who is mod on his boxing site Hennessy has made a monumental blunder and they are not sure if anyone will be picking up the UK rights as ITV are digging their heels and want compensation from anyone looking to show the fight. ITV claim a verbal agreement was made to show Froch first two defences and although not binding a legal battle would mean by the time the rights were sorted the fight date would have past.

ITV also say it is not their policy to aquire big time boxing unless it is within 1hr of UK prime time.

Due to it being in America it wont be prime time and unless Setanta or Sky compensate ITV (which i doubt as Froch is not a big name and will draw pitiful figures) the likely outcome is a delay on ITV shown Sunday afternoon.

            At the moment"

I posted that on the 25th 2 days before team Froch made anything public.

            Anyone TEST-DEAD. Hence the name.

Dunno, but Calzaghe-Lacy was a huge fight. It had that benn vs mcclellon feel to it. But American brute coming to whip our guy.

One, it isnt a big fight outside boxing circa. Two, itv are making huge cuts to programming and staff. i mean they lost F1 to the BBC.

Yea, i'm not having a go, I believe you.

I really hope something sorts itself out, it's one of my "personal" big fights of the year.

Anything to avoid a stream if I have to.

                    I hate the damn politics

Glad no one bought it in one way because no money for him and shows how important he really is. Gutted i will not be able to see taylor bring him back to reality.
