Probably China, US and Italy for the next few spots. With Britain and some of the Eastern Bloc likely to do ok as well.

For the US Warren and Andrade are definately likely to medal. Sadam Ali isn't anywhere near the top of the 60kg division as it has plenty of depth, but the Olympics does tend to spring surprises.

Like Ali, Britain have a fighter from a Yemeni background, Khalid Yafai. Not likely to medal, but a good fighter.

For Britain Gavin, Murray and Bradley Saunders have medal prospects, maybe not gold though with the Cubans competing. Price, Billy-Joe Saunders and Jeffries are outside shots with Yafai and the underachieving De Gale (if he could keep focused he'd have an outside chance of a medal) rounding up the squad.
i agree with cuba and russia, with the UK and US competing. i don't know much about chinese amateur boxing but dare say they'll grab a medal at one of the lower weights (?)

I definitely want to say Cuba will #1 but I think with no medal winners returning this year, it may be a lot closer than others think. Being Cuban born, I'll definitely be rooting for complete domination but this my breakdown

      1. Cuba
      2. US
      3. UK

No. Be hard for Gavin to get a gold to be honest, given the strength of the 60kg division.

the chinese don't have to be amazing to be competitive with the best olympic squads. boxing has the worst robberies of all olympic sports and since judging is so subjective (or you could say its a bunch of objective rules that are subjectively interpreted), it is likely they will get some unwarranted medals with the homefield advantage... that's the only reason i rated them so high in my list.

i hope not to sound overly pessimistic but its just that two of the greatest fighters of the past 20 years have been straight ROBBED in the olympics- Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather...
