I personally really like this matchup. I would have Bute winning by semi-close design or late stopage. If it goes to the cards, it will look somthing like this, 116-112 twice, and 117-111. What are all of your thoughts?
IBF super-middleweight champion Lucian Bute has no problems in welcoming former undisputed middleweight champion Jermain Taylor to the 168 pound division trainer Stephane Larouche told ********* Sunday. Taylor who lost a decision to Kelly Pavlik at a catch weight of 166 pounds Saturday had his promoter Lou DiBella say afterwards that the former Olympian would be making the move to super-middle and that his next fight would be on cable giant HBO.
“It’s certainly not a fight we would refuse,” said Larouche whose fighter makes the first defense of the belt he won in October by welcoming former three-time middleweight champion William Joppy February 29th at the Bell Centre in Montreal. “Taylor or Pavlik, either one allows us to make a grand entrance onto the American scene, something we would not refuse.” Larouche who not only trains Bute but also serves as Technical Director for his promoter Interbox cautions that it may be best for those interested to act quickly. “Do it early,” he warns, “Lucian is getting better with every fight and the longer that people wait, the harder it is going to be for them.”
