    Pure and basic common sense.

NOTE: Can someone move this.. I meant to open this up in Non Stop Boxing.
How is Baldomir, The True Champ?!?! Come on now! By nature, the Ring Championship carried true weight when it first originated. They started by making the best fighters out there, who met a certain criteria the Ring Champion. But after a few years as the belt got passed on, it became the same as the alphabet titles. The Ring needs to relieve the Champion of his title if he fails to fight the Ring's Number One Challenger within a specified time period. That would be Cotto in the Welter Weight divsion. Cotto should be Ring Champ by now by pure virtue of Floyd ducking him and taking easy fights. Floyd is not the best in the division until he beats the best in the division, anything else is pure speculation.

I agree with this. Although it's important to note that Williams is considered a more live body at this point than is Mosley. But that's of course not discrediting the basic fact that Mosley is the better fighter and More established.

Cotto would clearly be the guy right behind Floyd, (Really makes him the #1 challenger in most people's eyes) and based on quality of fighters alone (ring experience etc) Tony is just better than the rest of the WW division aside from those two.

Yeah and it's not rocket science, he's clearly the third best welter taking into consideration that we're not counting De La Hoya.

Mosley had the WBA and the IBA title and he unified with Oscar with the WBC title. Mosley won the unification bout and was the TRUE champion at the weight. He lost the title to Forrest, who then lost it to Ricardo Mayorga. Mayorga lost to Spinks, who then lost to Judah. Judah then lost to Baldomir and Mayweather beat Baldy.

            How ISN'T he the champion?
