  • Tony Bellew

Kept seeing and watching and following this amatuer for a while and i've just found out he's had 2 pro-bouts.

Brilliant personality - if you like a good boxing character. I've seen him goading opponents in the ring, showboating and man-handling. Once in the same am round i saw him wrestle a man to the ground and manage to left hook the camera which the bbc was filming him with from the corner post. Sadly his character kept him out of the English olympic team. But i've always thought he'd be a wicked pro.

A hard hitter too. Could be the thing that the Heavyweights need in England.

I just found out he was at the millenium stadium at Cardiff on the 3rd of Nov. Any one see him?

If he's with Frank Warren, i fear his career well be ****ed before it's even started.

ive seen quite a few of his amatuer bouts, he certainly can punch. I agree his style is better suited to the pros than the ams. He needs to tighted up his defence a bit though

better suited to the Ams? I thought the other way round. He's a real brawler, one who likes to get the hooks in.

As for the Warren... well... i dislike him as much as the next poster on here - but atleast i know we'll get to see him on the tv. Although Frank puts his fighters infront of bums... atleast he puts them on the tv aswell.

Saw him in the Millenium Stadium on the Calzaghe undercard, was a decent scrap, his opponent came out fast early on but Bellew weathered the storm well before going on to stop him. I wonder which weight division he'll end up a regular in.

It says on the webpage he trimmed down to make Light Heavy...so... who knows.

He's a big kid- fought in the ams at around 91kg.

Anyone else seen the showman and brash side to him?

I do think this is one of the reasons that Warren has picked him up. He can be very confident.

I saw an interview which went something like...

"i got the skills to become the best, and i think its amazing how quick and accurate i am for a lad of my age, you know. I'm going all the way to the top, because the talent i've got is brilliant for a lad of my years."

Pretty much sums it up, one of the better fights on the card
