  • After Reid whats next for Froch?

Providing Froch gets by Robin Reid (which he should), what names should he look towards facing next?

I thought he was going to put himself in the title picture towards the end of this year, but besides a win over Tatevosyan and maybe Reid (who is no mug but still a few years past his best) he hasnt exactly set the division on fire this year.

Thats not to say he doesnt have the ability by any means, i just expected him to be more active against top level opposition.

Who should he aim at next? Maybe a fight with Bute, Mundine or Tsypko before aiming at a World belt.

    Any thoughts?

I've been calling for a Bute-Froch fight for a while now but I can't see that happening for a while. I like the idea of a fight with Mundine, can see Carl KO'ing him. Another name I would throw in the mix would be Bika. That fight would give Froch a big chance to impress stateside and again I'd back Froch to take a decision in this one. One thing is for sure, Carl needs to fight someone who is highly ranked and in their prime because he is going to have to get a move on in 2008.

He does need to get a move on. I still cant believe he hasnt and isnt going to face a contender this year.

I ment Bika in my first post not Bute. Got their names mixed up.

Yeah it has been a dissapointing year for him, but to be fair to him he has been recovering from a bad injury. He needs to shake off the ring rust aginat Reid, which will still be a tricky fight, and then in 2008 he will have plenty of attractive fights there for him. With Calzaghe looking like he'll be moving up in weight, Carl could be the one to fill the void.

As good as Carl Froch is, he needs to leave his current promoter Mick Hennessy. Froch will never be a serious contender under Hennessy. All he has ever done is put Froch in the ring with has-been's, never-were's and never-will-be's.

After Reid, Carl will be considering his comeback opponent

He will opt for Wayne Alexander, dangerous puncher with a fragile chin but 2 weights below him

Avenge his AM loss against Inkin and providing he wins, pick up Calzaghe's scraps when he moves up to LHW.
