    Frankie Gavin winning World Championships

BBC, Sport, BBC Sport, bbc.co.uk, world, uk, international, foreign, british, online, service

Frankie Gavin is probably the best amatuer to come out of Britain in the past decade. Watching him fight is a joy, and he is a real gold medal hope for us at the Olympics..he's definatly capable of bringing the gold home.

He won't be a gold medal hope in Beijing, he'll be the favourite after the way he ripped through the competition.

Yeah you are right, its just strange a British fighter being a favourite for once.

not in the amatuers... we got some of the best in the world.

I'm disliking the coverage on sky.. .i mean, i'm loving thats its on.

But it could be more structured..with a more regular slot..where you can see the progression.

Perhaps some more focus on our British fighters..

and the commontators are ****ing atrocious... they state the obvious...and go over the rules, time after time.

I was at the semi-finals in Chicago and thought Galvan fought excellently, great lefts and good ring generalship.
On a similar note, I thought Joe Warren was robbed in his bought. It was close but ultimately he should have been in the finals too.
