    Australian rugby league boxers!

We all know the sucsess that Mundine has had since his switch from rugby league to boxing, but i was wondering if there were any more that have made the switch.

A mate of mine told me there is a few and they seem to sell tickets well over there. I know there was one guy who was playing at London Broncos a few years back cant remember his name though.

Just wondering who these guys are, what level they are at and are any of them genuine prospects?

      solomon haumono is a decent prospect. he's 12 - 0 (12kos)

john hopoate has decent power for a heavy but he's not going anywhere
      7 - 2 (7kos)

there's a bloke named lance thompson who is still playing league but has some pro fights in the off season. useless ****. 2 -1 (1ko)

there's a kiwi who played league for the warriors.. i havent seen him myself but he's meant to be quite decent. 5 -0 (3kos) he's fighting on the undercard of the holyfield v ibrigamov fight so you might get to check him out

they're the only ones that come to mind.. haumono is the only one id call a prospect.. hasnt fought anyone with a pulse yet but has looked good doing it.

he might be fighting nathan briggs before the end of the year which will probably be a good test of his true potential.

What was more funny was Jeff Fenech thinking he could make the cross over to Ruby League playing a game for Parramatta.

I think he came on as a reserve. I think he only played one of two games.

He was the one who played for London, the word is that he was approched by Don King not long after he signed for London but he was under contract. He went straight into boxing when his contract was up.

Australian Rugby League international Herb Narvo apparently had some ability in the ring.
