I saw discussion of this in the Sprott vs Skelton thread and wanted to ask your thoughts.
As a sparring partner of Audley's, Sprott was well aware of his limitations (in particular, his extremely poor stamina) and looked set to capitalise on it IMO.
As early as the first round Audley's frustration could be seen as he couldn't get anything through Sprott's guard and knew that he stood the risk of punching himself out by hitting his arms. Even though he managed to land a clipping punch on the top of Sprott's head that put him down, the end of the first round saw him backing up with a concerned look on his face as Sprott let him know he wouldn't capitulate.
I remember in the third Sprott dropped his guard and pulled lots of funny faces to taunt Audley. Basically, what I'm saying is, despite Audley's technical skill, I believe that Sprott knew exactly what he was doing in the ring that night. Just a shame his boxing brain wasn't switched on at all for Skelton.
