LOL I've heard it all now Naz-Fan

Limond is a joiner during the day(aswell as a natural superfeatherweight fighter part time) and in the time it took 'A Mere Khon ' to rack up his 12 previous fights Limond had only fought twice, that should sum up just how tough Khans opposition was. For the record, I've never been a big fan of Limond's but I was cheering him on when Khan was rolling around not knowing if he needed a **** or a haircut lol

Khan's chin is so weak he gets dizzy when he shaves.
    LMAO I LIKE THAT ONE

Good on Khan for being ambitious. He just needs to realise that ambition for honours needs to be matched by ambition and dedication in training.

Limond had fought twice in 3 years, its hardly a case of an established fighter fighting less often. I would also like to add that top tier fighters are the ones who fight less regular but Limond imo was not top tier.

Regardless of how regular Khan fights it will still likely be about 7 years til we see him matched against anyone good(or with a decent dig ) anyway (his promoter is Fwank Warren afterall)

Lets look at Andre Berto as an example....both guys were involved as amatuers in the same olympics but Berto has came on leaps and ounds compared to Khan since then.

Alex Arthur, Kevin Mitchell, John Murray, Ricky Burns, John Thaxton and Michael Gomez are all guys who would beat Khan imo. His only chance will be against Earl but thats more to do with Earl being past it and to be fair he (earl) was never that great anyway.

Khan is Warrens cash cow and has already had a 7 figure sum invested in him and Fwank wont be taking any kind of risks until he's made his cach back plus interest....even then he'll likely still keep him protected.

Over the years there has been several British fighters who had the talent to go to the top and become great champions but Warren has always hindered their progress and theres nothing to suggest he wont do it with Khan although Khan imo is far from talented enough to ever make it as a world champion, unless of course he goes for the highly regarded and prestegeous WBU belt lol

all i was actually commenting on, kerrminator, was that you said the fact that khan had faced 12 opponents in the time it had taken limond to have 1 fight, was a reflection on khans opponents. but i don't think it is. if anything i would have expected khan to have had more fights in that time.

as for berto, i think its difficult to compare any british prospect with one based in the united states, the main reason being the level of competition.

the average journeyman in the states is a lot better than the average journeyman in this country. khan has just beaten limond (who only had one previous loss) in his 13th fight, but how does limond rate when compared to some of bertos opponents? probably not very well.

i think what it comes down to is if you ignore the hype and treat khan like a normal british prospect, he's doing better than expected. but if you want to treat him as a future atg, p4p, 4 weight division champion, then you'll probably be a little disappointed.

out of those guys you listed, i agree with you about Alex Arthur and Thaxton.

i haven't seen gomez since he started his comeback so don't know how much he has left, and i personally don't rate mitchell that highly either. ricky burns has heart and a decent chin, but he's feather-fisted even at sfw and i think khan could beat him (although he'd get slated for even fighting the guy).

murray could be the closest fight of the lot, and i do hope this happens. murray was after a fight with khan earlier this year and it'd be great if he could manage to get himself into a mandatory position for the commonwealth title.

Good post Rooq. I personally was quite critical of Khan after the Limond fight, but he still KO'd a solid pro after coming back from the brink. I don't think is anywhere near as bad as alot of people would have us believe. He would easily beat most domestic fighters like Gomez and Ricky Burns. When he learns to defend himself he will still be a force and the Thaxton fight could be another war that I would very much like to see.

How has Berto come in leaps? His fought all bums and knocked them all out.

Come on fella's, do you really believe he'd beat Ricky Burns????? Burns has a defeat or two but only against the top domestic lads (hell, he beat a prime Graham Earl)

I do not see where you get the idea that Khan is a great prospect from when he clearly hasnt fought anyone to judge him by (unless you count Limond the PART TIME fighter who was a natural superfeatherweight)

Khan is a media creation and quite frankly im surprise at how gullable some of you guys are
