EBU flyweight champ Andrea Sarritzu retained the EBU title last night in Ajaccio, France, on a controversial split draw against local hero Bernard Inom. On the same bill Italian veteran Cristian Sanavia won the EBU super middleweight crown with a split decision over Russian Devi Gogiya. In a fight for the vacant EU lightweight belt Spaniard Juan Carlos Diaz Melero outscored Frenchman Jean Nicolas Weigel. Also for the vacant EU title but at flyweight saw Christophe Rodrigues, cut on the scalp and unable to continue, defeat ex-WBO ruler Jose Antonio Lopez Bueno on a technical decision. [details]
