i think avoiding victor would be in mundines best intrest just like you say kirk. I'd love to see victor do well though as i saw him live in penrith and my god can u hear his punches crack. It was like the sound gilchrists bat makes when he smashes a six.

I have to agree with bloogertag in regards to a fight with Calzaghe being a good option. Would also love to see a shot at the middleweight top guys. A fight to extend his name with international media against someone like Winky, Taylor, or old names like Quartey just to make the rest of the world notice more. Maybe a money day with ODLH even.

I thought Mundine was a tosser. A rude arrogant fool who pretended to be all gangsters for publicity and stuff… actually I still do but…
The guy has the goods. He has pure class and all skill. What I loved most (like most) was his maturity, his use of patients. That was a beautiful display of pure chess fighting. That dude is one of the greatest fighters Aussie has had, maybe one day the best. Maybe one day, one of the world’s best.

I still don’t like the guys remarks but what a fighter… he is the Man!

i just watched the fight...first round was a bit messy, mainly due to soliman's awkward style, but mundine looked class with good kd's in the 9th.

do you think he's likely to fight outside australia now? will mundine get the big fights he wants without going to the states / europe?

Id love to see this fight but i cant see it happening. Oganov sounds very dangerous. Im still yet to see him in action but he sounds very promising I would think that Mundine would be chasing a rematch with Kessler or even a fight withh Calzaghe. Mundine did mention that dropping down to middleweight was a possbility so that would be good to see him fight Jermain taylor or winky wright.

Mundine is Flavour of the month in Aussie boxing at the moment and rightly so. It seems old Jefferey Fenech is trying to get a head start for his boy. I think he has no chance of Mundine accepting. he has bigger fish to fry obviously.

Very impressive performance from Mundine but his arrogance in his after match interview, ( the I knocked his ass out comment ) is not necessary.
He continually makes himself become the guy all Australia hopes gets KTFO.
Shame really because the guy gets better with every fight and should have the supprt of his countymen. Unfortunately - He's an *******.

He will definately have to go to the states if he wants to prove himself one of the top fighters at either Middleweight or Super Middleweight. He needs to beat someone that's recognised as a top dog. Calzaghe, Kessler, Taylor or Wright. Having said that, all 4 of those fights are very tough to win. Going down to Middleweight may be the best option for him.

i dont think he can get down to 160 in the same form. he looked very tight at 168 and did u hear he was half an hour late for the weigh in.. hmmm. he definitely has to go out of australia for the international respect but itll be hard to go from making millions on main events to peanuts on the undercard. hope he does it tho. gotta strike while the iron is hot. fenech needs to stop riding his coat tails. oganov looks a great proposition but he should fight someone before calling out one of the best in the division.

At MW - Yes he'd have to go to the states.
At SMW there's little point in going to the states to prove yourself. The talent is elsewhere. That said, fighting in the US could be a better (and easier) business-move than f.x. going to Europe.
But in reality Mundine is making so much money back in Oz, going abroad probably won't do him any good from a purely financial perspective.

Mundine KOing a middleweight isnt to much of a shock but the way he dominated was awesome, Time for him to get the big fights in Vegas and I believe he is the goods to beat them all at MW
