Ali vs. Frazier 1,2, or 3?

First.
It lived up to its title THE FIGHT OF THE CENTURY.
Both undefeated. Ali, coming back to claim his title, and a young Frazier at his best.
It had everything. The political backdrop was amazing, the fans were split, with alot of people loving Ali for not going to war, whereas at first they hated him.
Plus it set up the Rumle in the Jungle prefectly, with Fazier taking everything Ali had, plus knocking him down. Then Foreman destroys Frazier and everyone thinks Ali will get killed agaisnt Foreman.
Also the third fight Ali had already beaten him, so the victory wasnt as great as it could have been.

While the third installment is my personal favorite, I'd have to say the "greatest" or most significant and highest quality showdown of the three would have to be the first.
Ali was 29, Frazier was 26, both were undefeated, both had a legitimate claim to the title, and, as will all of them, both tried to knock the other one out with about every punch they threw.
The first fight was the best because both were closer to their primes; and Joe was in his.

My fav is the first one. Frazier shutting Ali up was priceless.
1st one for those reasons.

When you get pounded to the body like that and get hit with like 200 flush Joe Frazier left hooks to the head I think that constitutes a "pounding."

The fight wasn't close. I don't even know that Ali won the first round.
