Who was it? Among pure greats, it was probably Hearns, unless you know of a true great with a weaker chin. Who you got?

Why Hearns?
He was stopped by Leonard, Hagler and Barkley. That's it. Each stoppage was fairly forgivable. I wouldn't argue he had a great chin. I'd certainly concede the thing that let him down first. But his chin wasn't particularly bad. True, to be a legend you tend to need a remarkable chin, but Hearns' poor chin is just another misconception. -
You will hate me for this but Joe Louis. If he fought Butterbean he could still suffer a very minor flash KD. I mean he would get up and destroy Butterbean and there would never be a comparison between them skillswise. But he could certainly drop Joe. Just for a second. Boom, legs gone.Comment

You're right that people look past how easily he could get clipped; but, if anything, he had a great chin.
Honestly, what happened to most power punchers who got as cheeky as Louis spent his entire career being?Comment

Trinidad had a good chin but used to go down a lot, Patterson was dropped often but he was small for a heavyweight,Comment

Surprising since Louis had a massive skull with a thick square jawline. That's usually the prototype of fighters with great chins.Comment

IMHO, James Kirkland.
Ishida had around 20 wins with 6 KOs (around that neighborhood).
I was such a huge Kirkland fan too even after the loss.
Great recovery abilities & stamina, but a true china chin.
Worse than Khan.Comment

Good calls, lads. Hearns probably not the weakest chin in the history of great in boxers, but I had to start the ball rolling somewhere. ATGs with terrible chins are rare items. Hearns probably had an average chin. But average is awfully mediocre for an ATG. Get it?Comment

Let us not forget to mention Vlad Klit. He seemed to have "glass legs," whenever he got hit solid.Comment
