Preaching to the choir here but the video goes over Pernell Whittaker's full boxing style and the range of technique's he used to be one of the best pound for pound boxer's in the world for at least 2-3 years.
A lot of newer fans in my opinion are under the impression that he was a fringe top 10 who was worth checking out a defensive asterix. In reality in my opinion he was a fierce competitor who was a complete boxer.
As an aside who do you see winning out of prime Whittaker and prime Mayweather?
When you look at the compubox stats, Whittaker threw and landed more against their common opponent (De La Hoya) and generally was a busier fighter in general.
It's possible Mayweather could do damage with his straight right hand but it's hard to imagine him stopping Whittaker with a big right.
