  • Who else does this "move?"

I like Erik Morales a lot. One of my favorite fighters and I believe I've watched all of his available fights I've seen online. In doing so I have noticed that in every one of those fights he does the following* move, or I think better said, he has a few variations on the following theme as seen in the link below. Now, like in life, there's likely nothing new under the sun in boxing. Be that as it may, I don't think i have ever noticed what he is doing done by other fighters, at least not in such an obvious and plain to see manner. I have seen Canelo do something vaguely similar though. The embed code wouldn't allow for me to have the video start at the moment this happens, which is 8:13 ish into the video, when Erik follows Manny into the corner and Alan Massengale says "...now he is on the attack using the left hand"

All those words and you didn't even say what it was.

It's that same girl commenting on 8:13

The one in the red trunks had good bounce but to jittery
for my liking. In my opinion very little benefitted that
just lead to fatigue and the other in the white trunks was
delivering more arm punches than the other. The end
of the round was worked better but don't see it even close
to being my favorite part of the fight.

That's my opinion for what ever it's worth. Others for sure
will have there own and see it different. That's what makes
the forum interesting and could lead to a fun debate.

My fault, you are totally correct. Rather embarrassing. I didn't copy/paste all I thought I had.

the giant exaggeration that baits the opponent to raise his guard, then Erik usually "stalls" for a beat and the gloves come down a bit or are opened/spread a bit by the opponent who was expecting a shot that didn't come, and maybe they are trying to get an idea of where he/his hands are at, and when they do that, they are hit by the follow up off beat shot that they seemingly don't expect or think should be coming. when it works that is

Marquez bases his game around similar feints

that was a real good fight

Morales was a truly outstanding fighter

I am not even sure that is a feint. It looks like he started to throw and legitimately changed his mind.
