  • Deontay Wilder career compared to John L Sullivan

Sullivan dominated a few years longer, but they both faced similar level opposition and were both feared for their KO power....both were dominated and by stopped by superior boxers...
Remains to be sent if Wilder can rebound at a top level, but Sullivan never did

    - -Wilder never had a lucrative stage career of wine, women, and song like Sully that led to his downfall.

Moreover the world thru their press all knew John L whereas Wilder scarcely noticed in home town. Sully also played pro baseball in his Youth whereas I suppose Wilder semi matches with Olympic bronze, but Sully the only dual belt holder of Queensbury and bare Knucks. Deyonce with 1/5th of the belts before Fury claimed it.

Sully thrown in the clink for fighting, not so Deyonce. Sully in the 19th century and Wilder in the 21st century. Sully wrote for the NY Times. Wilder a dolt.

What else U need to know?

      Yup.

In the same way Broner is like Duran.

I think wilder is amazingly dangerous. Maybe only two or three men could ever beat him. But he's more comprable to Ingo. Better focused and tougher, but basically just a bigger Ingo.
