No offense taken, but with his experience, I really feel Saoul could beat Alexis, and had a strong shot with Aaron. I guess timing could play a strong suit as well.

      - -On a fighters best day, anything is possible.

Thing is, Alexis and Aaron had a whole lot more good days in them.

There are levels to this sport. Mamby was a level and probably two below Arguello and Pryor

Understand, but Saoul was very underrated, and, especially at the time of MAPS, had that shot to take Aaron, and Alexis in 1982, if Alexis chose that route.

No doubt, but remember, Vilomar Fernandez was also a level at least below Alexis and upset him. Personally think with his underrated skillset and chin, Mamby would beat Arguello, and could beat Pryor, especially around the MAPS thing.

Well you're in a very very small minority. Not a chance......

Oh, wait you're the guy who thinks John Tate would beat Larry Holmes. You were wrong then and you're wrong now.

We will just agree to disagree. Saoul had the juice to beat Alexis, and there is no doubt in my mind he could do it. Same with Aaron, if the timing was right. And John Tate had a chance against Larry to win, you know it.

We've been down this road before. Once again there are levels to this sport and Seoul was at least one (and probably two) levels below Arguello and Pryor. And the very best version of Tate couldn't beat the worst version of Larry Holmes.

And the truth is, Alexis probably knew that Saoul could beat him, hence, he didn't fight him. The best version of Tate could beat the worst version of Larry Holmes. Michael Spinks did twice.
