Joe turned his life over to the coke of Christ as early as the right after the first Schmeling fight, by buggery.

Yea he was long retired by then, but he did get into it in the early 70s I believe. Its a shame I guess he got EXTRA paranoid when he was on it. His son talks about it saying when he went to the little apartment he was staying in at time and had taken apart everything looking for "hidden mics". Even his old lamp that he had as a kid.

Yea now that you mention it, it does ring a bell towards the end of his career I think or shorty there after.

Don't remember hearing that about Hagler, but not doubting you. I REALLY cant see Hagler using at least while he was still active.

Aaron Pryor couldn't beat Alexis Arguello without it. Henry Armstrong reincarnated.

Quite a journey Pinklon Thomas did, from being a heroin addict to become an alphabet heavy champ.

A friend of mine, who works with people’s drug rehabilitation, says heroin users are treatable, because they haven’t damaged their brain, while addicts of amphetamine often can be lost cases.

I saw a interview with Eddie Murphy speaking about how wide spread coke was in the 80's, with celebrities and athletes 'Especially boxers'.
