Being an European, I always heard that the national sport of US – baseball – must be the most boring sport ever invented.
So last spring, I decided to give it a try, watching a few games.
As for now, I’ve spent some 200 hours this summer, watching MLB on telly. Love it.

A starting pitcher having a bad day, especially on home turf and being booed, is as alone as the boxer in the ring.

      - -80% of starting pitchers today wouldn't make the cut in baseballs glory days.

As dumbed down as boxing is today, 80% would compete with boxers of yesteryear, so boxing being a simpler one vs one sport needing only one ref, it remains closer to it's origins.
