But to be fair, it is understandable since if something is burning your eyes your first reaction is to want to wipe them.

Ali was past his best when he fought Frazier, Formean, Shavers, Norton, etc.

That says something about the man that puts him above most, if not all.
And thats why I consider Ali a great champion and a great fighter.

        • i just dont see Foreman beating a prime 20 year old Tyson
Foreman is too sloppy for Mikes accurate n devastating punches
Ali tired Foreman out easily n KO'd em
u think Tyson cant swarm all over his ass n ko em?
cuz while Foreman is tryna swing at em all wide n ****
Tyson l' be on the inside takin staraights to em to set up a hard right or sumthin

n it was crazy how george ko'd frazier
i saw 2-3 of those knockdowns to be rabbit punches(to da back of his head)
i mean he woulda ko'd em already
but if it wasnt for his rabbit punches it woulda went further..i think

Apparently she used to beat Tyson up behind closed doors, so don't envy him too much!

Strange, I just watched the fight again and I only saw one knock down with a rabbit punch. And that was the 1st knockdown in round 2 as Foreman backed Frazier up in the corner and Frazier turned and tried to run out (turning away from Foreman) which was Frazier's fault.

Nearly all of the other knockdowns came from uppercuts - as Foreman was extremely accurate with uppercuts against swarming fighters. Foreman was also accurate when he had an opponent hurt often never missing a shot.

Even that knockdown was not a rabbit punch. If you look closely, Foreman hit him and his head snapped. Your head doesn't get snapped from being hit on the back of the head. Plus when they show it on isolated camera you can clearly see that when Frazier was running away, Foreman hit him flush on the chin and down he went!

                    • Well Douglas stopped him ''back in the day''. I don't even think you need to go back to the likes of Foreman and Ali. I think Holyfield would have always given him trouble, as would Lewis, probably Bowe. You could even add two good fighters with great chins, McCall and Ray Mercer, I think they would have a great shot too.
