      - -Nice, but I'm sure you realize in today's rabid political construct, people of color don't include big Jeff.

Looks in fine form, but me thinks he overtrained out of nacissism to lose that 100 lb rather than focus on using his size and strength advantage. He attempted the impossible.

When big George returned after a decade, he fought his way into his natural 40 yr old big man shape and the rest history.

that's actually a valuable insight. I dunno how much weight he really had to cut. And clearly the dude was an Adonis, so whatever weight he amassed in layoff was on top of an exemplary physical specimen. It's not the same as Chris Farley dropping 100 pounds in a year.

But yeah, he clearly over-trained. Incredible achievement, not beneficial to the task at hand.

Look at MMA Fedor, Cormier, Derrick "dog vomit" Lewis... they look like the poster boys for Burger King, but they win. In brutal fashion. And that is against a cast of characters who look like Action Figures Come-to-life.

                - -Pretty sure Joe was part of the camp. Jeff had tremendous respect for his earliest battle to a draw with Joe.

And Joe having fought JJ and been jailed with him had valuable insight.

Gonna do a search for a Chomsky bio.

Truth. I do know that Jeffries, Johnson and Fitzsimmons said that the hardest puncher they ever faced was Choynski. Those were fascinating times.I know there is a book called the Choynski Chronicles but it's kind of pricey.Would like to get it someday.

                    - -Yup! $50 to get it shipped. Christopher J Laforce the author.

And another $50 to get Joes 27 rd battle on a barge against JJCorbett in 1889 by Ron J Jackson Jr.
