I recall a story, I think, written by a photographer or reporter covering Holyfield-Tyson II. Amidst all of the chaos after the DQ he saw the mouthpiece sitting on the canvas right in front of him and grabbed it. Later Tyson's people tried to get it back from him, but his defense was that Tyson had discarded the mouthpiece and thus it was his to keep, legally speaking. Not sure what happened after that.
I did a Google search to try to confirm my memory and couldn't find anything. Maybe someone else here can chime in as to whether my memory of this story is correct.
