    - -Seems like you lost the plot line there.

Wilt can beat all in every track and field discipline that is the original model of the term athlete retroactively applied to most sports today.

    Including golf and auto racing!

As far as the pro fighting discipline goes, Cus very much liked what he saw of Wilt in training, hence Cus willing to take the time to train him and effort in pushing the fight.

Loved to have been there to observe the far ranging topics they must have discussed.

What a sterling topic. Here are some other suggestions:

How could Wilt have beaten RJJ on the basketball court?
How could the NFL stop Jimmy Wilde at fullback?
Sonny Liston vs Pee Wee Herman, who wins?

In this one, the Christian can easily hoist his chin too high for the Moslem to reach with impunity. I am afraid the Christian's jab will be like a left fence post continually in the mug of the mouthy Moslem. He will not need the rapid fire of a woodpecker with those fence posts, friends, once a few have smote Moslem gusher. Ali's best shot is to pound away at Wilt's biceps and hope he wears down before connecting huge. Wilt is used to holding his mitts high for fifteen minute periods. It is likely Angus MacKaskill destroys both with ease, possibly from his stool.

          - -Wilt a legit fight with a contract in the 60s time frame the fight first proposed.

Cleveland running back Jim Brown was also in the mix, but he nixed that himself.

Houston Oilers defensive tackle Ernie Ladd also proposed, but I don't remember who proposed so or if it was even legit, but it was briefly news back in the day

Ernie was 6-9, 325 lbs and a holy terror when aroused. See when he literally decimated the entire soon to be superbowl bound NY Jets offensive line to knock about 5 years off Joe Namath's career one afternoon.

I was with my best buddy, 6-4, 200lbs in the Oilers ticket office when he strode through the front door, ducking the 6-8 frame as he slightly twisted to fit his shoulders through and not an ounce of visible lard on him. He was in some classy slacks and sport short, literally a giant son of Adonis. My buddy looked like some kinda girly play doll in comparison. I've seen some 4-500 pounders, fat big men, but nothing as awe inspiring as prime Ernie Ladd. After football Ernie was a standard bearer in pro 'rasslin', but by then he's gone to pot and was just bloated and beer bellied.

More importantly, neither Ernie or Brown were near the athlete Wilt was. At a party Brown challenged Wilt to an impromptu foot race conducted in bare feet and Wilt whooped him. Incredulous, Brown demanded a rematch and was whooped again, and Brown's specialty was RUNNING! Wilt had guards and forwards responsible for running the ball down court, but quite often when he'd take a rebound he'd beat all down court for an easy slammer.

          Noone could challenge him...NOONE!!!

Wow. Now boxing is a foot race? Good to know. Usain Bolt for the Middleweight title!

PS - the Brown thing is a rumor. There is no proof. There's a rumor that Brown got into the ring with Ali and ran out of it. Is either true? Who the heck knows? They're all dead.

Wilt was an amazing athlete. He once ran a 10 YARD dash in just under 11 seconds. But he wasn't a boxer and didn't have the years of experience to be one. You have no idea if he could even take a punch.

            It's a ****** QUESTION and you're just going to get ****** answers.

              - -****** to you but not to Cus, and more importantly not to Ali and his team seeing enough threat from Wilt to back off signing the contract on tv as had been arranged.

At the inaugural ABC presser arranged by Cosell that was supposed to be the signing of the fight Ali clearly refused to sign the contract or make any commitment to the fight.you are just a fantasy guy that never fought

The reason being when Herbert first laid eyes on Wilt and realized the sheer magnitude of the man oozing from every pore he freaked.

I'd remind you Too Tall was undefeated mostly by KO. When he realized how exploitive and dirty boxing was and the peanuts he was earning compared to his prime years in football, he secured a better contract to return.

Lomachenko did not only the unprecedented in boxing by becoming the #1 fighter in his 3 Divsions, but exposed dirty officiating in Boxing when texas ref Laurance Cole and Salido tag team Loma in the most blatant foul fest I've ever seen, and in spite of the dozens of low blows and headbutts et al, he turned Salido into jelly needing Cole to repeatedly pull Loma off him so Salido could survive for the dirty decision. All in the interest of protecting the boxing myth that no AMA can step immediately into a pro championship unless he toes the line to subservient himself to years of exploitive development.

Cus as a crusty ol man appeared on tv with Ali to talk about the strategy of his comeback against Frazier.

Ali did his usual clowning and shuffling, so Cus told him that wouldn't work on Joe and explained how joe would get to him.

Ali protested, so Cus told him to get into a fighting stance, and little ol Cus jumped in to pop him sharp enough to draw blood.

Modern media used athleticism as their new buzz lingo without knowing what true athleticism is, and Ali is always described as more athletic than Joe which is obvious even to the village idiot.

As demonstrated over history, the #1 athlete ever is Jim Thorpe with Babe Ruth and Wilt duking it out for 2nd, and btw, Babe in a preseason contract dispute with the Red Sox signed a contract to fight JJOHNSON spar mate Gunboat Smith to replace his salary. Fight was canceled when the Sox capitulated.

Wilt didn't even like BAsketball, but like Thorpe between football, they were collegiate track stars and in retirement Wilt was the greatest volleyball talent ever seen.

So, Wilt was a grade AAA+++ athlete, and where Would Ali rank?

He was obviously ill suited to track and field or any team sport, so he had his A+ reflexes of hand and foot, and that's it, so overall say a C-.

Wilt arguably the smartest athlete in history based on perceived IQ and base academics. He invested wisely and infuriated the politically righteous by being a ********** back when reps were considerably more moderate, so he was always his own man.

Ali admitted to being a poor student, but he had a comic gift for a quick quip and was controlled by the dictates of Elijah and Herbert, not his own man.

Cus!!!!! One of the early disciples of studying fight footage for strategy. Wilt don't have to learn ALL the skills needed for career success, but to hone the few needed specifically for Ali who was limited in skill set, instead relying on reflexes.

$$$ Was a major obstacle as Wilt would have to make more to replace his BB income, and finance wise Ali was hard to promote then because of the threat NOI posed back then. Herbert was concerned if Ali lost, he'd never be given another title shot, a legit concern in those days. He only got the Liston shot because Ali was considered a cupcake by Sonny and wasn't with NOI.

Few Legit fantasy fights are a given, and this was a legit fight with contract and serious concerns by Ali brain trust. Later Wilt would use it to squeeze better contract terms from the Lakers meaning his purse demands were escalating faster than Ali could afford.

Read it and weep for thee!
you are a fantasy guy to the max I know you have never been in the ring by your comparisons.Being a great athlete means nothing in the ring you have to know how to fight and so many other things involved I can’t list.Jim Thorpe would get knocked the **** out by Frazier just by the fact his body would not be able to handle the powerful punch of Joe.Too Tall Jones fights were televised if you don’t remember I bet you don’t because your probably to young.Fact first fight got knocked on his ass by a bum and the decision was bood.He could not punch properly but vs a steady stream of D fighters he was getting the job done.NY Times Report card on Jones No Punch No Chin Sports illustrated says it was a joke and so on and so on.There was no future for him and to the easy way out just like the Jets sack guy I forgot his name big athletic foot ball player gonna be champ instead chump. Why don’t all the Basketball players switch over that are very athletic especially white players they would make mayweather type money as white hope heavy weight champ.Bringing up Loma a guy who had 350 amateur fights ?You also are rating fighters and non fighters as if there chins are equal. You can be the second coming of Tyson and have a glass jaw you ain’t going nowhere.Exp fighters who have good athletic skills to go along with boxing skills is a plus. But a basketball player with good athletic skills and no exp vs a world championship boxer you are nuts my fantasy friend.

Wilt was a once in a lifetime athlete but his skull shape shows me a more than likely weak chin. His head is disproportionately small and does not look strong enough(Look at Ali's cinder block head for comparison) to naturally take a punch well, he'd probably crumble from the first solid jab he eats.

Athletes from ball playing sports can't take hits to the head.
