I read an interview with Tyson on the subject of the Gołota fight on a Polish website, it was hilarious. Basically, what Mike said: "**** was I glad he quit; I put on a show, 'No, no, come on, fight' but I was actually terrified of having to fight the guy after what he did to my buddy Bowe", then the interviewer asked: "Gołota claims you were repeatedly punching him in the back of his head, at the base of the skull", Mike: "Ummm.... I *may* have".

Ahh, Gołota. Dude had all the skills and the goods necessary, just not the mentality, and crap luck (also I'd still claim he got robbed in championship fights against Ruiz, and that draw with Byrd was also debatable). And yes, he was seriously injured during the Tyson fight.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I recall that he bit someone on the shoulder prior to the Bowe fights.

Thanks. I've never seen that before. It shouldn't be funny but I got a laugh when the commentator said "the survival instincts of Andrew Golota"

That was ex champ Sean O'Grady, he was funny as hell, if you watch part 1 he goes thru the strengths & weaknesses of both fighters, truly miss Tuesday Night Fights on USA channel.

Yeah Tyson was dirty as f***. Elbows, forearms, rabbit punches, arm locks to dislocate the shoulder. I've wondered if Cus or who taught him that stuff.

That's why this fight was made, for street fight purposes.

--- Tyson never fought dirty under Cus.

Only after he lost his all time best HOF team, signed with King who never met a heavy he couldn't rob and ruin, married a gold digger, put on experimental bipolar sedatives and stopped proper training did he turn dirty.

His life literally makes a 180 degree reversal for the worst in a very short time. Only advancing age and accumulated wisdom has allowed him to sorta turn it around. He'll always be a loose screw ready blow loose.
