I do not know what the actual fastest count ever was, but this will have to be my candidate until someone unearths a more rapid example.

Moore is knocked down a bunch of times and the counts are all fast. But the last one is complete, so can be timed. I get about 6 1/2 seconds for the full ten count.

Ha! -- The IBC with James Norris presiding.

Through their relationship with Al Weill they had hold over the HW Championship. They had something to protect, expect anything.

What I saw (heard) -- it as if Archie hits the canvas and you hear "three" - don't where one and two went.

Of course IBC would lose control of the HW title with Patterson's assent (D'Amato) anyway but at the time they had much to protect, no sense in giving Archie a fair shake.

Although, Marciano's count was pretty quick too, so it was probably just in the nature of the time-keeper.
