    You aren't kidding. Great round.

Bert Cooper was always dangerous, makes you wonder what he could have been if he had listened to Joe Frazier and got in better shape plus kept away from the drugs.

--- Cooper was an emergency replacement on short notice and knocked the veneer off Field to expose him as having clubfighter skills with no defense.

Hence Field's mediocre title record, what, 10-7-2?

And from what I remember Cooper was heavily on and off hard drugs for a long time.

And Bert’s classic line after the bout, “ No more ESPN fights “
Not much after that he was losing to Rocky Pepeli

" knocked the veneer off Field to expose him as having clubfighter skills with no defense.".......................

"Field" I'll guess is your nick name for Evander Holyfield?

Yeah Evander was a club fighter who got lucky a few times?
Were you born ignorant or do you come here daily to work on your delusional skills?

If you don't like a particular fighter because he did something to your favorite hero thats fine but to make a comment about one of the very best warriors and boxers of all time is just dumb!
Evender is a top five cruiser and a top 30 heavyweight!
              Stop the hate and smile........

                Good analogy Ray, agree.
Evander was a all time great
He’s one of the more crafty fighters too, very good inside fighter, actually one of the best inside fighters ever in any era. Evanders ability to take punches and hold his ground and counter punch was remarkable, now on the contrary he would forearm , head butt, elbow you on the inside as well, but nevertheless he’s a legend, so I don’t get the hatred either, and I saw evander live multiple times, and as a spectator you always got your money’s worth and was never cheated.
                And that’s that

Another case of a boxer fighting on a letdown . Tyson dropped out b/c of his **** case stress.
Holy took on a sub .
A decade or so earlier, I witnessed several subs KO their opponents .
Navarrete KO'd Boza-Edwards on a 3-weeks' notice after Limon dropped out.
                  Andy Ganigan KO'd Sean O'Grady as a late-sub.
Arturo Frias KO'd Claude Noel as a late sub.

Pacquiao KO'd Ledwaba on two-weeks' notice earlier this century.
