Nice. Even the moderator let's the rampant and blatant racism go on. Not surprised in the slightest why this place has an extremely disproportionately high percentage of mentally unbalanced and trolls compared to other major boxing forums.

Marciano enjoys mythical status as a puncher. It is mostly myth. He was a little, weasely coward who hit Joe Louis. Anyone who would attack an old man deserves no sympathy. He was always looking for an old man to beat up, and usually found them. Ancient Joe Walcott was another one. Then there was Archie Moore. But ol' Rocky never could find him an octogenarian to fight, though he was ever on the lookout.

Joe Louis was undefeated in his last 8 fights over the previous year. Against rated contenders. He took out Lee Savold faster than Marciano did. He was old and not the brown bomber he used to be but he certainly wasn't no pushover.

Ancient Joe Walcott? Walcott was the heavyweight champion, Marciano had no choice in the matter. Walcott had knocked out and decisioned Charles in his last two fights. On top of that you must be pretty uneducated on Jersey Joe Walcott because if you knew anything you'd know he was pretty notable for his longevity. Do you think Walcott was prime after age 30?

Archie Moore was on an undefeated streak and had taken not one but TWO decisions from Nino Valdes, a top contender for Marciano's title, knocked out Bob Baker as well. Marciano not fighting him would have been a duck.

Try to actually analyze fighters next time and not just look at the paper stats.

I actually enjoy educating people on boxing and you get the occasional poster who knows what they're talking about.

Blatant and obvious racism/prejudice should be unacceptable to keep the integrity of the forum. It's not like I'm crying wolf saying I get the impression or whatever without actual proof. Left Hook literally used racial epithets multiple times. Pretty sure he's even started some threads about race too.

I say you grow a thicker skin and not misuse the term racism. Or alternately report the post you find to be offensive and the moderator team will take appropriate action.
