Yogi i am holding you responsible for filling up my computer. I have downloaded every fight but two you have posted here

Yep, Buddy caught him with a monster of a left hook that snapped Louis' head sideways, and sent him ass over end through the ropes...But suprisingly enough, Louis seemed perfectly fine within a second after going out of the ring.

The ring used in that fight was a wrestling ring and if you look at the apron it was huge allowing the wrestlers room to to stand and fight on it. It also allowed Louis to get knocked onto it, pick himself up and get back in with room to spare. A standard apron would have seen Louis knocked into the press row.

The ring also had only 3 strands instead of 4 and were not tied together in the middle like today. Louis got knocked between the top and middle strands because his shoulders slipped through. In a modern 4 strand ring he likely would have stayed in the ring and been hit again by Baer ....

This is a pretty sound observation. While it's speculation, and Louis's jaw is probably less suspect than some originally though, it's still raises some questions.

louis had an allright chin back in the day, when he was fresh, he took maxy bears right hand pretty good and cornered him muy rapido, it seemed though near the end (walcott) he wasnt his usual self...btw, this thread rules, thanks for all the great fights yogi!
