This fight is an absolute telephone booth war! I never hear it mentioned when discussing all time great slugfests. These two cats came to throwdown! Toe to toe the entire fight with a doctor stoppage at the end of round 7 declaring both fighters unable to continue? Unheard of!

Those two guys went at it hard twice. I think in the first one, they stopped it after seven and called it a draw because neither guy could continue. When does that ever happen?

Merqui took him in a close rematch and it looked like Mr. Williams might not wake up. Brutal fight.
