Which ATG fight did you enjoy more?

Definitely Leonard/Hearns I.

The Leonard/Hagler fight had an unsatisfying conclusion. Could have gone either way. And Hagler was past his prime. Finally, there was the absence of any rematch.

But it was great to see Leonard struggle so much with Hearns, only to pour it on and steal the fight, ending it with a sheer beatdown instead of what was basically a draw with Hagler.

nothing thrilling about hagler vs srl. i can easily think of dozenS of better fights. i can only think of a couple better than hearns vs srl 1.

I was too young for Hearns vs Leonard I but I strongly recall watching Hagler Leonard while being home due to chicken pox in 6th grade.. This was purely tactical but the former was both tactical and all out warfare.. Leonard and Hearns just match up better..

I'd go with Leonard-Hearns 1. Two ATGs at or very close to their peak. I actually think it's often overrated, at least when you sustained action into account. For instance, the rematch actually was better in terms of consistent action. But there was a lot of shifts in momentum, great talent and skill level, and a come-from-behind stoppage in the final rounds is about as dramatic as you can get.
