Who gives a shit? Marciano was a bum that made a name off fighting bums and the names he did fight were well past their prime or well out of they're natural weight class.

Moore debuted as a welterweight and did his best work at Middleweight. By the time he got to Marciano he had already had 176 fights and was desperate for a payday so he jumped up to the Heavyweights in this fight. 40+ years old, it's sad really.

Old Archie still had enough to drop him like a b1tch on top of it. Marciano was a bumskeet!

I did it because it was an awesome fight. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't even have Rocky in my top 10 heavyweights. But it was just a great evenly matched fight full of excellent technique as well as a ton of drama and history.

I totally understand not really rating Rocky as a top heavyweight. But if you didn't enjoy at least some part of this fight, why bother to call yourself a boxing fan? Rocky's whirlwind offense, Moore's incredible defense, heart and toughness from both guys. There has to be something here for you to enjoy.

I make these video's and articles with no real agenda, I'm not telling you how to feel about this guy or the other.

But to call an undefeated heavyweight champ a bum or a b1tch for any reason just stinks of being a hater.

He's earned his place in history, let the dead enjoy their accolades.

Evenly matched? Are you on drugs and did you NOT read anything I posted?

Whirlwind offense lol! He lumbers in and wings shots!!!

If course you have an agenda kid, you're pumping up Rocky --- a bum.

Yes, I hate Marciano deeply because his entire existence is fraudulent. Rocky ain't earned shiht but hate for taking advantage of the peoples imagination and beating up on a bunch of old and broken fighters.

Rocky fought who there was to fight at the time. Moore was on a 20 fight win streak at the time and was the clear number one contender.

Floyd Patterson had lost to Joey Maxim in 1954.Rocky had beaten both Charles and Walcott.

Name me a heavyweight who had done more to earn a title shot at that point than Archie Moore. Hell name me a heavyweight who was a better fighter in 1955 than Archie Moore.

Rocky was a man of his own time. You can't blame Rocky for dominating in a weak period of heavyweight history the same way I can't really blame Wlad for doing the same.

mcnulty......"If course you have an agenda kid, you're pumping up Rocky --- a bum"............................................a BUM?

A bum is a fighter who has a sub par performance. Unwillingness
physically out of shape, throws a fight!
Marciano is furthest thing from a "bum"! Learn the boxing terminology before you speak it, bum!

Moore had earned the shot by beating Valdes in Nevada theyrecognized Valdes as the Heavyweight Title holder. Moore fluctuated be tween light heavy and heavy for years moving from 175 (light heavy limit) up to heavy weighing 195 thru 209lbs. No one knew how to "cut" weight better than Archie!

Calling Marciano a bum is the dumbest crap I've read on here. If you think the guy can't fight just say that but to use the term bum when you don't know the meaning just makes this place
a nursery for the "fanboy boy" mentality.
