There IS no video evidence of SRR fighting anywhere under middleweight. His prime was spent forever at welterweight.

He was amazing in terms of the quantity of opponents he defeated, but IMO, Leonard defeated much MUCH better opposition than Robinson ever faced.

The OP is a f#cking tard, but "the best" in boxing always seems like a stupid conversation filled with highly subjective concepts & opinions + sci fi/science-ish considerations like get birthed from the hilarious idea of a "P4P ATG" in a sport filled with the so many weight divisions & hundreds of great fighters from highly different eras in our history as a species & the sports history + rule changes.

In fact there is welterweight footage of Robinson, and if you were not so lazy and opinionated you would already know that. There is even a small bit of footage of him as an amateur. No surprise that he was obviously faster than in all his middleweight footage, more reckless but faster. Early footage is so limited one can gain only a few insights, but what one expects of a younger fighter and his energy level is what one gets.

For most people it is something they heard, so they repeat it. That does not mean it is not true.
