Sometimes I feel like Joe Louis is criminally underrated in fantasy fights.

Maybe just my perception but it seems like every **** who ever laced em up has the 'right style' to give Louis problems. If youre a brawler then you 'just need to look at the Godoy fight to see Louis sucks vs Brawlers', if you are an outboxer you 'just need to watch the Conn fight to see he sucks vs boxers'. Plus he's chinny and gets KO'd by every gust of wind that travels past him.

So much focus on his flaws, people forget to think about what he might do to the other guy.

I do think Floyd beats him. But Ross would probably be the second best fighter on his resume. No chance he Gatti's him or anything close
Ross won't get stopped like gatti.. but Floyd clearly beats him 118-112 style

Thats fair enough. 'Gatti'd' made me think complete destruction/beatdown

Great comment! I feel the same; I think he's very underrated, recently I read an amazing article on Louis on this sunject, I'm going to find it tomorrow and post it for you and the others!

See this is the thing you don't get because you're so ****ing ****** - I've made it as clear as day I'm of the opinion there are versions of each who would beat each other. Floyd would definitely beat poorer versions of Chavez and Ross just like the best of Chavez and Ross never lose to lightweight Mayweather. You my friend are absolutely ******ed.

Now to prove just how much of a spastic you are you've just come out with... "Ross would get Gatti'd by Mayweather". Gatti was an absolute bum compared to Barney Ross. Barney Ross was all round technically brilliant, as tough as any to ever step foot in a boxing ring, and has a certified top tier ATG resume.

                  Kill yourself.

That's my take on it as well. Neither has the power to stop the other... and I just can't imagine Floyd being outboxed by Ross.
