Holmes was an Ali sparring partner at one time, so he owes something to the man for the opportunity. I remember hearing Holmes was actually Ali's protégé. As for him beating a past-it Ali, what goes around comes around. Tyson did the same thing to Holmes, only more emphatically. And as Ali was Tyson's idol, that ass-whipping was sweet revenge.
