Guess who is fighting today (Saturday April 29) and has won fights in 4 decades? I doubt that you would have guessed it, Gianfranco Rosi:

The guy is 48 years old and has won his last 3 fights, although against weak opposition to say the least. He was an outstanding boxer in the late 1980s and early 1990s. I remember his fights against "Schoolboy" Van Horn and Donald Curry. Those from England might remember his fight with Lloyd Honeyghan. I haven't the slightest idea why he's fighting now, but I thought maybe a few readers would be as bemused as I was to see his name on the fight card:

Archie Moore (1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s)

Tommy Hearns (1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s)
In order to have fought in 4 decades you had to have a career spanning at least 20 years. Few have done this. Any more you can think of?

Bugner was darn close to fighting in 5 decades. He had a fight in 1999.

That's 5 solid decades with very few fishy fights against tomato cans. This is the most impressive feat of boxing lengevity on record if I may say so.
