Knew Tommy well enough From his Woonsocket days with Jay and Mike Burke, spared with him many times...as far as I know he never got farther the #5 by the USBA or one of the other continental orgs.
He got to no-4 WBO (168lbs) & no-27 by WBC (175lbs). Chick and Tiny handled him. I don't know if they ever let him go. We fought in CT his debut on July 23, 1992. Tommy winning 4r. decision I'd say it was 2-1-1 his advantage in r., I was cut and required stitches in one eye brow. Publisher Bob Taylor (friend) handled MY CORNER for this Oakdale Theater/Wallingford production. Promoter was car salesman Ron Sousa.
