Could younger Tyson have beaten LEnnox? I'm in the camp that said no. However at the time Tyson was prime in the 80's he could have beaten the THEN Lennox who was much lighter/weaker and was asically amateur.

Holyfield? His wins over Tyson DEFINE him really. Could 80's Holyfield have beaten 80's Tyson? Definitely not. Could 90's Holyfield have beaten 80's TYson? That's a VERY open question! And many would side with Tyson to be sure!!

Tyson is a top tier fighter no matter how you slice it. He was, quote "absolutely awesome".

    On Tyson Fury and Ali?

They are EXACTLY comparable in skills and style. The only difference being skin colour and size.

In no areas is Ali better, he is simply a piss weak version of Fury, right down to the wind maker punches and the big loud mouth!

    Get used to that idea.

The MAIN reason nut bags cheer for Fury is cause they cheer for a modern day Ali!

Difference is, Wlad ain't no useless Foreman! LOL

Ali was more articulate. Fury is ******!

Fury is as dumb as a box of rocks outside the ring, but in all honest they have similar skillset stylistically. Ali being faster obviously,Fury being a bit tighter on defense.

Agreed. This is why I focused only on his lack of intelligence!

        Glad you understood.

Was that before, or after they told McCall to start looking like a bum?

`"`My manager told me I better stop looking so good or they`d kick me out of camp,`` McCall said. ``Actually, he just happened to fall. He was off balance when I hit him with a left hook. It wasn`t really a power punch. He was on his heels and he fell.``" O.McCall

The vid up top shows like most with these two who the punching bag was.....you know you don't know shyte anyway when you use the Douglas card when a PRIME Tyson defeated the man who defeated him and not only did he defeat tucker but Douglas defeated McCall who predicted Tysons would lose after he did for obvious reasons, and it has nothing to do with skill, and you would have to google that one because you have newb written all over you!

Not exactly a newbie, but I am not as seasoned as the person that I am interviewing. I know what happened, and what is happening. If you want to get in depth then the person that I am interviewing is probably the guy to talk to. Most Sparring Partners are in camps to help the person in front of them. I never said that Tyson could not throw a punch. What I am saying is that there were times when Tyson did not look good in sparring particularly after the split with Rooney. They kicked Lennox Lewis out of his camp. Anyone that was a really good boxer I think could have beat Tyson if they were in fact not afraid to the point that it was going to hinder them, and had some power to go with that. Frank Bruno was giving Tyson a very good fight the first go around until he got caught.

The topic was more about speed. Ali hit Liston, and Foreman so fast with just one punch that it was there demise. At least in Foreman's case. There are many that believe Liston threw the second fight, and could have gotten up

With Ali and Tyson the actual speed of the punches has many variables which I mentioned in a previous post. Ali did have incredible reflexes...I don't know about Tyson's reflexes frankly.
Mike Tyson had some of the most incredile reflexes of any HW and Ali had asolutely zero reflexes to speak of.

He was a human punching bag.

                  Your post was idiotic.

Tyson hit Lennox out of the ring day one. Lewis then adjusted the next session and the third out boxed Tyson....a 15 yr old unrefined Tyson....keep in mind lewis was the one who left the gym the first day. Tyson crushed Bruno "TWICE" what fight were you watching? On the other hand Bruno almost floorded Lewis until "HE" got caught...yea those "GOOD" boxers

Yes we all know Tyson always lost to those "GOOD" boxers. who weren't "AFRAID" how afraid were....

Frazier/Tucker/Holmes/Green/Biggs/Ruddock/Smith/Robalta/Thomas/Bruno/Berbick ???.... ALL these guys either laughed or critised him or both prior to fighting him

                      Facts at their best bro.

I also noticed some more inconsitencies with his research, such as Ali blistering Liston, when in reality it was an even fight on the cards and no mention was made regarding the slowness of Sonny.

The allegations about Tyson here do not stand up to intense scrutiny and are handwavable garage basically.
