    Bigger win: Frazier-Ali 1 or Ali-Foreman?

IMO these are the two greatest wins in HW boxing history. But which one ranks higher? Using reasoning such as fight quality, the quality of the fighters themselves, what was at stake, how it was won, how critics reacted towards it and how it has been looked at throughout the decades etc.

Nothing bigger than winning the Fight of the Century. Ali beating Foreman was more epic than classic.

Bigger win was Ali in a tremendous upset beating a guy who most people thought was impossible to beat..

        Fight of the century...

That win made frazier's career into a HOF or ATG caliber career

It was definitely also a classic. Probably the most famous fight ever, the Foreman fight.

But the Frazier fight was bigger at the time - Mostly because people didn't know who would win. Two undefeated guys etc. Everyone "knew" Foreman would win the other one.

Anyway, the first Frazier fight was biggest.

You could argue that that makes Ali's win better.

Sorry. Read it as bigger fight.

Bigger win was definitely Frazier's win over Ali. No question about that in my opinion. It made Frazier the best heavyweight of that particular era and cemented his status as an ATG heavyweight.

Ali was more of a underdog against Foreman, but Ali was a much bigger name (for Fraizer) and it was a bigger fight.

Ali wiped out the guy who wiped out the guy who decisioned him.

                    We have a tie.

@ Lacedup I'm not really trying to differentiate with the meanings. I think we know what I mean, biggest/greatest/most significant win etc. it's pretty much all the same.
