Floyd Mayweather didn't grow up in poverty, he may not have had a rich family but living in poverty he did not.

Floyd Mayweather's family survived off of drug money, other than that they were lower middle class as far as I've seen in documentaries. We don't know enough about boxer's upbringings to determine if they were poor or not, the richest fighter I would say of the ones not mentioned would be Chris Algieri.
